Even so, he deserves it now, just like he deserved the four Best Actor Academy Awards he was cheated out of for four consecutive years: The Godfather (1972), Serpico (1973), The Godfather Part II (1974), and Dog Day Afternoon (1975). One hundred years from now no one will care about Columbus, but we will still be asking why Pacino’s only Oscar was for Scent of a Woman. I know Simon Dillon agrees.
