6. Cinema projectionist. With the advent of digital (which will never look as good as 35mm or 70mm), everything in cinemas happens now at the touch of the button, which is all fine until something goes wrong. Then you're buggered, whereas in the old days, the projectionist could fix the focus, reconnect the film reels, or whatever else may have gone wrong. So I say bring back 35mm as standard, and bring back proper projectionists. (I happen to know a few former projectionists who are now working elsewhere in libraries or other such places, their dark arts now obselete. Very sad.)
NOTE: There are a few (very few) places where 35mm or 70mm can still be seen in the UK. Most of these venues are in London, but I do have one about a 90-minute drive away in Truro (in neighbouring Cornwall). These tend to be special treats though, and most of the time that cinema (a lovely Art Deco venue called the Plaza) just shows digital.
