A confession that may surprise you: I love romantic films, but I generally prefer my romance doomed - Brief Encounter, Casablanca, Doctor Zhivago, The English Patient, Far from the Madding Crowd, etc. The exception is with romantic comedies, but they have to be good. Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, The Philadelphia Story, The Graduate, Four Weddings and a Funeral... These are all good examples. However, this film is dreadful.
