A good article, and I concur with the general thrust of it, but it is important not to clump all the people who didn't enjoy the Whittaker years as "anti-woke" for want of a better expression. My issue with them was poor scripting (to my mind Chibnall is much better outside science fiction - Broadchurch, for instance) but some people simply thought Whittaker was miscast (I didn't, but that doesn't mean someone who did is necessarily "anti-woke").

I look forward to this new chap (a complete unknown to me as I've not see Sex Education) and I hope "RTD2" brings back what I really care about - good stories, well told.
