A monstrous view I have always despised. I absolutely cannot stand it when someone says "Why would you watch that film/read that book again? You know what happens!"

That monumentally misses the point. I may know The Lord of the Rings backwards. I may know E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial backwards. But I don't watch/read for the suspense of knowing what happens next. I read/watch for the experience.

Saying you shouldn't reread a book because you've already got the information is like saying you should never have sex again, because you already know how good it feels.
