A sober, compassionate, intelligent, thought provoking article, with which I entirely agree. I have always believed, on the principle of common sense alone, that God takes a very different view of - say - a suicide bomber trying to kill as many innocent people as possible, and someone who is simply choosing to end their pain. Like you, I will never agree with suicide as a viable option, but I have nothing but compassion for those who do end their lives that way, and I believe God does too.
