 be …f the inspirations for 2019’s Joker. However, many still don’t seem to know much about it. Too bad. King was ahead of its time dealing with the problematic issues of celebrity worship and what people are willing to do to become famous. It can be a difficult movie to watch, but, like a car wreck, you can’t quite look away.

A superb piece of work. It plays like a non-violent version of Taxi Driver in some ways. Definitely one of Scorsese's most underrated pieces.
