Absolutely agreed. In fact, I believe religion, politics, and economics are something of an unholy trinity in direct contradiction with the Gospel. A personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ does not require any of those three elements or institutions, yet there is a bewildering amount of nonsense in the world telling us otherwise.
