Adopt the Dillon Empire rule: Only glance at news headlines (online, no video) for a couple of minutes per day (if that) and never click on any news unless it directly affects you. You don't need to be "informed" at the expense of your mental health and sanity in general, especially when (for the most part) you can do nothing about the lunacy in the world. I adopted this practice 20 years ago and have never looked back. I would highly recommend it to everyone. You'll be so much happier.
