Again, with an appropriate prelude, I see no reason not to release books with contentious content. A good example would be Tintin in the Congo - definitely one of the more racist Tintin volumes. However, the book has a prelude contextualising the work, warning of colonial attitudes that Herge subsequently renounced as "the sins of his youth".
