d battle-hardened …Van Dien playing a convincing wide-eyed kid turned battle-hardened military lieutenant as the lead. On a technical level, the creature designs and the blending of CGI and practical animatronics holds up incredibly well, and those battle scenes are all kinds of bloody fun.
