Agreed. As a parent I fought an almost entirely victorious war against spoilers to protect my children. At appropriate ages, they managed to see The Empire Strikes Back, Planet of the Apes, Les Diaboliques, The Usual Suspects, and The Sixth Sense all without the big twists being spoiled by inconsiderate cretins. Alas - some loudmouth teacher at school ruined the twist in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for my youngest when I first read it to him, when I was just one chapter away from getting to it!
