1) I'm Jewish. (By descent, via my maternal grandmother, who fled the Nazis by coming to the UK.)
2) No, I don't think only Jewish people should be allowed to make Holocaust jokes. If they are aimed at an appropriate audience, without anti-Semitic intent, and most importantly funny, I don't care who makes them.
3) What I despise more than anything are people who assume all Jewish people will find Holocaust jokes, Jewish jokes, etc offensive, as though we were a Borg-like collective consciousness. Obviously some will find them offensive, but in my experience, no one tells more Jewish jokes than Jewish people. There is nothing wrong with poking fun at cultural absurdities.
