Agreed on CODA. Chariots of Fire I do like, but Raiders of the Lost Ark would have been my choice for Best Picture that year.

Stewart's take on Diana was radically different to that of Naomi Watts, and frankly far, far better. Those two films - and performances - really are not comparable.

And yes - completely agreed on the Academy taking itself far too seriously. :)
