All of this just makes me even more profoundly grateful that I met my wife (of 23 years so far) before all this swipey-appy nonsense. It all sounds unutterably ghastly, especially with the vindictive vileness you describe here, and I pity my children for having to find partners in this culture. But on the other hand, perhaps they’ll be fine and meet someone the old fashioned way since they both refuse point blank to have any social media (they are 18 and 14).
