All the President's Men was in the running, but I confess I'm not a huge fan of The Deer Hunter (as one critic wittily noted, the wedding sequence went on so long I felt embarrassed I didn't bring a present). Raging Bull was also on my shortlist, but I am saving my Scorsese entry for the next instalment. Educating Rita is another great shout, as is The Mission. As for A Room with a View, that's another favourite, but I'm also saving my James Ivory entry for the next instalment. :)
