An absolutely superb polemic on the importance of planning. Such a breath of fresh air in the face of the "pantser" stuff that seems to dominate these forums. Obviously everyone is different and has their own method, but I for one could not ever write a fictional narrative without a very clear outline, character profiles, research, and most importantly an ending that I know blows me away to the point that I can't help but write the story.
