An eloquent and heartfelt tribute to a truly remarkable monarch. I'm moved by your words.

I have a lot to say about this (my own tribute was but a tiny portion of what I'm currently processing). However, another thing that has floored me is the number of personal stories from people who met the Queen. The consistent theme for all of them seems to be that for those few minutes, she was focussed on them and them alone, showing intelligent interest, wit, compassion, and often sharing a joke. It is no wonder that she was so loved, and that is why she will be so missed - and not just by the British.
