An excellent assessment of an excellent film. It is a fascinating piece of work that I'd actually argue is both miniature and epic. The film focuses on a very small group of characters, but is epic in sweep, and certainly epic in the themes it explores. The unholy alliance of capitalism and religion has seldom been portrayed more vividly as a damning indictment of the dark side of the American Dream. :)
