An excellent point. Thoughtful translation is vital, otherwise you end up with all kinds of problems, especially when equivalent words do not exist in English. This is true with subtitle translations on films as well

I was particularly amused by a video I once saw online, allegedly showing a clip from a pirated DVD of a Chinese dubbed The Fellowship of the Ring, which featured overly literal translation on the English subtitles. When Gandalf says "Fly, you fools!" in the dramatic moment in the Mines of Moria, the English subtitle instead reads: "For your consideration, be careful!"
