An interesting argument that I can't say I entirely agree with. Audiences have been fascinated by antiheroes for centuries. Shakespeare wrote about them in the likes of Richard III, Macbeth, and many others. I think Breaking Bad, Mad Men, and The Sopranos have important things to say about the human condition, and to my mind they are cautionary tales, rather than aspirational ones.
