Annual Unplugging from The Matrix

The Dillon Empire is departing for offline lands for a few days.

Yes, I know this isn’t an airport, and I don’t have to announce my departure. And yes, Debdutta Pal, I know I’m not important enough to have to tell people I’m going offline for a bit. But like you, as you expressed in this amusing piece, I feel the need regardless.

I’ve submitted my annual holiday leave to the Almighty Algorithm at Medium, trusting it will be approved. I sincerely hope my absence (between now and the 7th of August, with a potential flying visit here on the 3rd of August) won’t result in reader weeping and gnashing of teeth, or algorithmic censure. Nonetheless, I feel it is important for me to unplug, ideally completely, at least once a year. I will probably do something similar, though not quite as drastic, towards the end of August as well.

But if you think that means an absence of Dillon Empire antics, fear not. Whilst I am occupying myself in the real world, you can expect the following articles to magically appear. Please do read and comment as normal, and I shall reply to the comments once I return, whilst doubtless catching up with a lot of other reading here.
