Another (Brief) Dillon Empire Holiday Hiatus

I’m disappearing for the next two or three days. Also, a plea to Tony Stubblebine.

In my determination to not be ruled by online demands, I am once again disappearing to spend time with the Empress and two heirs to the Dillon Empire in the dying embers of their summer holiday. My beliefs in periodically unplugging from online are well-documented, so hopefully this will not precipitate too much weeping, gnashing of teeth, and despairing cries of “But you just had a holiday!”

Whilst I am gone, I would be most grateful if new Medium CEO Tony Stubblebine could cattle-prod some of his engineer minions into restoring that lovely little bar that used to sit at the top of the Medium page (on the computer desktop version — I don’t use the phone appy thingy), detailing at a glance who among the talented writers I follow has recently published new material. It is tediously time-consuming having to individually search writer profiles to discover who has blessed us with new articles. The “Following” tab simply does not cut it in this respect. For one thing, it fails to grasp my writer-support priorities (yes, there is a hierarchy in terms of whose new material the Dillon Empire reads first).

Please could this bar be brought back? I don’t think it was offending anyone (although…
