I am far less educated on this topic than you, but when visiting the US, I have witnessed police abuse and brutality first hand. I am appalled by it. In the UK, the police also have some issues, but in the US it is on a different level entirely. I believe it is systemic, and the entire police force needs overhauling with new training. There are far too many power-crazed individuals running around.

As for Black Lives Matter, I always considered the sentiment rather obvious, but when I dig around their manifestos and the like, I find unpleasantness that I take exception to (especially their anti-Israel stance - a ludicrously oversimplified view of what is in fact an extraordinarily complicated situation).
