Another fascinating piece. I believe giant skeletons have been uncovered in the region (though I need to check my sources on that) that corroborate much of the biblical giant narrative - not just Goliath, but Og of Bashan and various others. Others have commented on the possible Nephilim connected, which itself has a mythology that seeps into ancient cultures across the globe. Intriguing stuff. :)
