As a Pet Shop Boys fan, I have to mention the hilariously scathing satirical 1993 track Shameless, which was going to be on the Very album, but ended up as the B-side to their Go West cover. Frankly I'd have made Go West the B-side and put Shameless on the album instead, and had it as the lead single, because it would have been a number one smash. The satire (about shameless pursuit of fame for fame's sake) is more relevant than ever.
