As expected, this is brilliantly written, well-argued, and thoughtful. Not that I agree with it all, of course (for one thing, Oppenheimer was far and away the best film I saw last year, and certainly better than Barbie, much as I enjoyed it).

Interesting that you chose Saint Omer for the top spot. I liked the film, but it didn't make my top ten (it would have made my top 23 though). :)
