As someone observing all this from the UK, this to my mind is the heart of the problem. I don't condone what Mangione allegedly did for one second, but US "healthcare" is an absolute joke. There needs to be urgent reform at a federal level, curbing the abuses of insurance lobbies, at the very least. Thank God we have the NHS here in the UK (however flawed it might be, and however much certain capitalists are hellbent on privatising it).
