At first, I did hesitate to put The Great Escape on this list, but ultimately, I concluded it is also a genuinely great film for the reasons I've outlined. :)

As for Land and Freedom, yes that one absolutely deserves an honourable mention. So much so that I'm going to add it in. Great shout.
