Automation, AI, and associated ghastliness would strip the Oscars of whatever credibility they have. I can't see that ever happening.

As for your point about social media, I daresay there's a lot of campaigning in that respect, much of it corrupt, both in terms of smearing the competition and unduly promoting one's chosen film. I remain deeply sceptical of the notion that social media is a force for any kind of positive change. But I daresay regulation on this is unenforceable, alas.

Also, I didn't care for Everything Everywhere All At Once (I call it Everything Interminable All At Once).
