By the way, I entirely agree with the thrust of this article, which is why I often only watch TV series when they are finished. By that point, I can make an informed decision about whether to stick with it or not. The Wire, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul were absolutely worth it. Lost or Game of Thrones? Not so much. Others are worth sticking with to a point (eg 24 is worth it until the end of series 5, then stop, Damages, just watch series 1, etc). :)
