Completely agreed. I always eyeroll when every anyone talks about the expanded universe in print being "canon". Actually, I eyeroll whenever anyone uses the word canon about Star Wars, Marvel, or anything else, as it's a word originally used for religious purposes (eg the canon of biblical scripture) and much as I love Star Wars, I refuse to treat it like a religion.
