…d consider naming a base after a man who violently persecuted Pence’s fellow Christians an outrage. He should stop and consider how a Black soldier must feel coming home (because when we’re on active duty, the base is our home) from a tour in Iraq or Afghanistan to a base named after a man (whether Bragg, Hood, Polk, or any other Confederate) who did not even consider him fully human.

Damn right. This is moronic of him. (Not that I've ever had a high opinion of Pence. When he refused to listen to Trump's nonsense about insurrection, it wasn't heroic. It is merely what he was elected to do. It was his job.)
