Deep sigh... If - and it's a very big if - Star Wars wishes to be artistically relevant again, it needs to dispense entirely with the Skywalker universe and timeline. If it must continue (again, a big if as far as I'm concerned) I would go back thousands of years, to a big Jedi versus Sith war, and radically tear up the Star Wars rulebook.
