The last day of the month means only one thing in the Dillon Empire: Dillon Picks, in which I highlight my favourites from your writing on Medium over the last few weeks (or from even earlier, if so inclined).

A rundown of criteria, for newcomers: I select ten articles only per month. No writer included is then eligible for inclusion for another three months, to ensure variety of selection. Exceptions are made for Knights of the Dillon Empire, of which there are currently two on Medium: Sir Paul Combs and Sir Sarah Paris. The latter has lately been on quests in foreign lands. However, she has recently made a triumphant return, and is hence included in this batch. Also, in this Dillon Picks, someone else is going to be knighted (an extremely rare occurrence), so stay tuned for that.

As for other criteria, I read widely across this platform, but take exception to certain kinds of writing. For that reason, I have rendered the following ineligible: Earnings bragging, hustle porn, vacuous trend-chasing, anything pro-AI, or written by AI (in whole or in part), we’re-all-doomed apocalypse porn, professionally offended blithering, sweeping statement clickbait, blanket tirades against entire people groups, and ill-informed advice from those with no experience or credentials…
