Once again, the mighty Dillon Empire has sent its probe droids out across the Medium galaxy, attempting to locate rebel articles that stand up against the surging tide of hustle porn, earnings bragging, eye-rolling pseudo-activism, professionally offended drivel, and other insufferably ill-informed claptrap. One particular bugbear this month has been wading through eye-rolling New Year-New Me narcissism. That said, a couple of genuinely thoughtful New Year meditations caught my eye amid the usual interminable blitherings.

These and other articles to make the Dillon Picks cut are assembled herein, for you to read if you’ve not yet come across them, or to feel smug about if you are the author. Criteria for inclusion within this monthly compendium remain ludicrously strict, so if you feel the need to add “Chosen in Dillon Picks” to your Medium profiles, on your CVs, across your social media, and so forth, that is an entirely valid response to my Imperial beneficence.
