On this month’s Dillon Recommends for writers to follow on Medium, I shine the spotlight on the Celtic Chameleon. The eclectic authentic who founded The Authentic Eclectic publication doesn’t mince words or suffer fools gladly, but she is immensely entertaining. Actually, she’s a lot more than merely entertaining. She is well-informed, witty, funny, fierce, intelligent, logical, and incredibly supportive of great writers and writing.

There is a wide range in her writing, but a kind, compassionate, humane undercurrent shines through amid her sometimes strong medicine. I don’t always agree with her, but one of the Celtic Chameleon’s strongest attributes is her commitment to well-argued dissenting points of view. As she so often states, free speech includes speech you don’t like. She puts her money where her mouth is in that respect, by publishing articles in The Authentic Eclectic with which she personally disagrees. By the way, the quality of writing in that publication is consistently high, so I recommend following it as well as following the Celtic Chameleon.
