Do you distinguish between people who don't like dogs (ridiculous, I agree) and people who simply don't want to look after animals? I'm in the latter category, mainly because I have two (wonderful) children and that's quite enough chaos. Also, I think if you choose to own a dog (or any pet), you need to take proper responsibility for it. Far too many pet owners don't, and that upsets me. I can't abide cruelty or neglect to animals. If you aren't going to commit to them, don't own them.
