Doug, your story speaks volumes about this problem. I think one of the issues is God makes people with different personalities and temperaments, but evangelicals, charistmatics, pentecostals and try to force everyone into an unscriptural one-size-fits-all when it comes to worship. Some people are very extrovert and demonstrative, and they should absolutely be allowed to express themselves, but this does not give them a monopoly on how God ought to be worshipped, nor does it give them a right to look down on people who aren't inclined that way.
