Dune is my favourite science fiction novel, so I'm gagging to see part two. I didn't care for the Sci-Fi channel version (faithful but bland, lacking the maverick vision required) and the less said about the David Lynch version the better (visually interesting, but a dog's dinner of a screenplay). However, Villenueve has, so far, done the right thing, ie emphasising everything that is cinematic, and ignoring what isn't (for instance, the banquet scene early in the novel is superb to read, but on film it would be impossible to portray in a satisfactory manner, as most of it is Jessica's inner monologue). :)
