Each to their own, obviously.

I think a part of my loathing of the term comes from the sheer ghastliness of the Silicon Valley culture with which I associate it. "Dude" is almost as irritating, but not as much as at least I can imagine Bill and Ted saying it instead.

My actual brothers would never call me "bro" either.
