I like Nebraska and The Descendants, but not as much as About Schmidt or Sideways. I would have preferred Hugo or The Tree of Life to win Best Picture rather than The Artist.

Election is a superb film. In all fairness, 1999 was an outstanding year for film, so Reese Witherspoon was up against a lot of stiff competition. Still, it would have been nice to nominate her, I agree. :)
