Julianne Moore and Kate Winslet are both interesting choices, and I love them both. I'm not that keen on Natalie Portman though (as Galadriel, I mean, I like her in some of her other films).
Emma Thompson did a similar thing recently at one of those annoying Thunberg thingys, lecturing ordinary people in London about how evil they were for flying abroad on holiday and so forth, having just flown in from California on a private jet.
That said, I still like Emma Thompson as an actress a great deal (and like Cate Blanchett). I have a very good compartmentalising capability separating their screen performances from their real life actions. Same with Tom Cruise and his scientology mutterings. Or Sean Penn and the nonsense he occasionally spews - eg lets give the Falklands back to the indigenous people . What indigenous people, exactly? The puffins? Are you going to give the US back to the Native Americans, whilst we're at it?
Honestly, it staggers me that anyone listens to the political opinions of actors and pop stars.
