Emy, you're a true horror fan. People think horror fans are desensitised, but they aren't. It's a common misconception. Horror fans want to feel something when they watch, whether it's revulsion, fear, or horror (or all three), and experience that masochistic catharsis. But sometimes we also call a halt, as you did here. It's like using a safe word. Hahahahaha! I write a bit more about that here, if you're interested. :)
