Exactly! This is one of the reasons why it's my favourite of the films on the mutiny. It's a much underrated piece, with Hopkins portraying Bligh as repressed and stubborn, not mad. David Lean was going to direct this, but he opted for A Passage to India instead. However, Robert Bolt had already written the screenplay with him, which is why the film feels very "Lean" at times. Really great widescreen cinematography too.
