Excellent article.

Some points from me:

1. The Star Wars prequels were a hugely wasted opportunity. Here's what I would have done (if you're interested).

2. I completely agree re: The Last Jedi. It does have flaws, but I thought it was easily the best film since the original trilogy. Again, if you're interested, I wrote this rather personal piece on why I thought it came close to the quality of the original trilogy.

3. As far as I'm concerned, I don't think we need any more Star Wars at all. The original trilogy was a landmark of my childhood (I'm a first generation Star Wars fan) and they are cinema classics. However, with the notable exception of The Last Jedi, nothing of great artistic significance has been added subsequently. The originals will always be great, and that's enough for me. :)
