Excellent article. Some of these are valid expression, but much misused/overused. Another one I can't stand is "toxic" which I refuse to use unless discussing, say, a toxic chemical. I also refuse to use the word "team" unless talking about a sports team, as the term is so abused in corporate scenarios ("You're letting the team down"). But that's a bit of a separate subject from what you're getting at here. :)
