Excellent point re: Barbie. It is neither masterpiece nor the end of masculinity as we know it. I wrote about this extensively in my "Is Barbie Anti-Men?" article (not sure if you saw that one, I've linked to it below if you're interested). Anyway, I completely agree with your point about the absurd culture war extreme positions. It's complete nonsense.
