Excellent retrospective. I saw at the cinema this during my first year at university. We all laughed at how absurd the politically correct future was, and felt reassured that people would never be that thin-skinned. How wrong we were (yes, all right, the film is a huge exaggeration, but I can't help thinking it was eerily prescient in this respect too).
