Fair enough. I definitely prefer the extended cut, as I think it adds important clarity to why she suddenly despises him. He is a jerk and a creep to her, as you put it, but it is because he hates Mozart, and thinks God is laughing at him. To me, this is a logical extension of the poisonous envy that consumes him. :)
